Merger of NC Campbell & Co and Greaves West & Ayre

GWA Partners - N C Campbell

The partners of N C Campbell & Co Chartered Accountants and Greaves West & Ayre Chartered Accountants are pleased to announce the merger of their practices with effect from 1 October 2016. The combined firm consists of 11 partners and 104 staff operating from fully staffed and managed offices in Haddington and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

N C Campbell & Co partner Ewan Millar comments:
“In Greaves West & Ayre we have found a like-minded organisation that shares the same traditional values of quality client care to businesses of all sizes across all sectors. We can more effectively safeguard the future of our employees in Haddington and the relationships with our clients in the long term. Being part of a larger organisation, we will have increased capacity to help our clients with any issues they may have. Greaves West & Ayre has long-established additional services which our clients will be able to access including Specialist Tax and VAT advice, Pensions & Investment advice, Computer and IT services including Cloud Accounting.”

For Greaves West & Ayre a Scottish base will ensure greater flexibility to service its many Scottish clients.

Managing Partner Colin Frame comments:
“This merger further establishes Greaves West & Ayre as a leading independent Chartered Accountancy practice in the region. By merging our practices the combined firm will be able to offer fully manned offices in both Berwick and Haddington. We have always felt it important that any office had dedicated partners permanently present in each location who are able to deliver the “Quality Advice – Quality Service” ethos that we believe in. In Ewan Millar and Douglas Gould we have found Chartered Accountants who want to do their best for their clients by offering that quality advice and service that has been the successful formula for our continued growth. We view this merger as a great opportunity for both firms to meet the changing needs of our clients in a progressive manner. Both firms enjoy a low staff turnover which gives us a consistent base from which to grow our reputation both north and south of the border.”

The expanded firm will be called Greaves West & Ayre (incorporating N C Campbell & Co). It is important to stress that, with no changes to personnel, the usual contacts for both firms remain the same. The partners look forward to offering continued Quality Advice and Quality Service from the enlarged firm and invite anyone wishing to find out about the services on offer to get in touch.
